hi - I'm Erin Lowndes
I'm a wiggle-loving, love-chasing multimedia artist based in Hot Springs, NC.
I have a background of creativity, art, and an early career in the *Theatre* as a stage manager and props designer. My main squeeze is PLAIN WITH SPRINKLES - an event and wedding planning business that services the WNC area and specializes in LGBTQ+ weddings.
In September 2024 - Everything shifted when Hurricane Helene slammed Western North Carolina with historical flooding - devastating both Hot Springs and Marshall - the place I call home. I felt my wiggles reaching out to me.
I have always been active in art for *me* - Between boredom and adhd, I've tried like.. everything -- painting, drawing, knitting, cross stitching, paper maching, sculpturing, collaging, sewing, web designing, renovating, tufting, upholstery.. the list goes on. But I only tried showing off only a handful of these skills in the past or just given them as gifts.
The wiggles and squiggly shapes living in my head were practically scratching to be let out of my head and heart, so here I am—ready to share my wiggly world with you!

Love, grief, joy, change—it’s all tangled up in a glorious squiggly dance that connects us as creatures on this wild planet.
I’m a total dabbler when it comes to materials. I'm a little neuro-spicy, so I can’t stick to one thing. I mix projects and mediums without overthinking, letting the process flow naturally. Improvisation is my jam, and I find inspiration in everyday life—its little surprises, quirks, and wiggles.
I can't wait to share this messy, wiggly wonder of life with yall.
